I’ve been coaching businesses full time in my ActionCOACH business for eight years now. Over that time, I’ve worked with over 100 Melbourne businesses across diverse industries. My clients range from plumbers, dieticians, software engineers, oil rig drillers, mechanics, IT companies, retail shops, and bakeries to film studios and everything in between. The reason I’ve been successful in business coaching is that I get results for my clients. I became an ActionCOACH business coach in 2002, and I’m proud to say that of the 800+ coaches in the world, I am one of only 8 coaches to reach “Diamond” ranking, assessed on my performance and my client’s business successes. And, at the same time as I’ve owned and run my ActionCOACH business, I’ve owned other businesses that run without my everyday input. I understand what it’s like to be a small business owner. Back before I joined ActionCOACH, I was already on the way to starting my business coaching career. After completing my first degree in Mechanical Engineering and working as an engineer for six months, I could see that there was a whole lot more to business than the technical side. I landed a job with a company consulting to larger corporate businesses – Coles-Myer group, ANZ Bank, Telstra, Zurich Insurance and the like. This gave me the unique opportunity to spend time in their businesses, working with their management teams. As a result of this I came to understand the difference between what made a great business, and what made a poor performer. I also got to see first-hand the differences between how great managers lead their organisations and how dud managers ran theirs. I did that for about eight years, and then I went back and did a Masters in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I worked with a large printing corporation, assisting them in winning multi-million dollar tenders. After I’d done that for a few years, I thought it was time to start my own business coaching business. So what’s stopping you?I would love to talk with you to find out where you are at, and where you are going in your business.
